Who We Are

Mary Vu's Headshots 2021-6.jpg

Mary Vu Iammarino is the lead consultant at Ai Consulting here in Orange County. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, Law & Society and A Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California. She has worked for almost twenty years in the public and nonprofit sectors in Southern California. She has knowledge of program and organizational development, leadership and strategic planning for the advancement of marginalized communities. More specifically, she has specialties in trauma informed and restorative practices, Latinx, Asian & Pacific Islander immigrant communities, justice reform and mental health. Her focus is on equity, public health, and community leadership aligning with her deep commitment to communities of color, especially those who have been historically excluded from full participation in civic society.

Most recently, Mary co-founded Project Kinship, a local nonprofit in Orange County, to meet a critical community need for those impacted by incarceration, gangs, and violence. In just seven years, it has grown to be a key part of Orange County’s landscape around advocacy, reentry, and creating comprehensive systems of care. This experience of weaving support networks among nonprofits, foundations, local government agencies, and community members to meet this need has energized her to seek out opportunities where she can help direct, facilitate and invest resources across a broader portfolio of organizations and agencies that are working to change the landscape of our state so that equity and people power are at the center.
